Dear Parents

Spring time at Maddox is here and we are celebrating 53 years as a wonderful neighborhood school

as we evolve into the new Englewood Maddox Early Childhood School location. It has been my

sincere joy and honor to serve each student, family and staff member at Maddox and the district. I

could not have done my job as principal without your support; for that I offer you my thanks and

appreciation. The spirit of Maddox will continue in the lives of our students and in our fantastic

staff as they all migrate to neighboring schools in Englewood.

There is a wonderful children's book titled, Wings of Change, written by Franklin Hill, Ph.D. It is

about a little caterpillar that is afraid to change into a butterfly. With the help and guidance of a

friend, he embraces his new change and flies away as the beautiful butterfly he is meant to be.

This book presented this wisdom:

As the world turns, so do you,

When you change for the good,

you change the world too.

The Maddox community will change and continue its legacy of dedication and service to the

children and families of Englewood.
