Marker Design / Prior to Ceramic work
While studying Islamic cultures in social studies, we looked at the symmetrical, floral non-representational ceramic work used to decorate buildings and homes. Starting with a six inch square, we designed our own tiles. After the paper/marker ones were complete, we used clay tiles and painted (trivet) tiles to take home.
