Art Club
Art club will be an open studio format where students have the freedom to make their own artistic choices. Students may experiment with their ideas and art materials from airbrush, drawing or painting to the pottery wheel. Larger projects such as trash can painting are also possibilities! Chess Club
Students who welcome the challenge and competition of the centuries-old game of chess can participate in this club on Mondays after school in room 209. Whether you can beat Bobby Fischer or you are just a beginner, the chess club is a fun way to enjoy this excellent game of strategy. Sponsor: Ms. Price

Choir
Any student can find their voice in this club that meets every Monday after school. Sing contemporary and traditional songs that are featured in regular concert appearances. Polish your skills for a drama club musical or simply enjoy the music you can produce. Sponsor: Sponsor: Ms. Gilchrist

Drama Club
Discover your theatrical spirit through drama productions occurring twice a year. Tryouts are announced and open to all students. Actors, directors, extras, and stage crew rehearse on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7:20. Sponsor: Ms. Gilchrist

Friday B-ball
Eighth grade students interested in playing basketball are invited to play against the faculty on Friday mornings at 7:30. This activity is open to those students who maintain an Academic and Behavior GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students must have regular attendance and may not have detentions exceeding five per six week grading period and no suspensions. Sponsor: Mr. Wyss

Gaming Club
If you are interested in gaming and participating in mini tournaments to see who the best gamer is at Flood... Stop by the computer lab and sign-up on the clipboard. Who knows you might learn a few tricks from other gamers in the club.  Sponsor: Ms. Levesque

Jazz Band
The Jazz Band is open to any 7th or 8th grader. Auditions are held every October and we play for the spring concert, take a tour to the elementary schools, and get to go on a trip and compete at the Colorado West Invitational at Grand Junction! We play swing, latin and rock pieces and have a great time doing it. If you want more information, come see Mr. Gunn

KidzKitchen
The Flood Middle School "KidzKitchen" is an after-school experience that is offered three times this year for students who show an interest in cooking. Participants will have the opportunity to select and prepare recipes that are easy and wholesome. We will use a microwave,stove-top, oven, and other common kitchen appliances to prepare our recipes. Students will learn basics of planning, preparation, measuring and mixing, cutting, stove-top cooking, and baking. See Ms. Zakhem for more details.

Peddling Panthers
“Panthers Ride” after-school on Thursdays during the fall and the spring. Membership in the club is offered to any girl or boy who is interested in the positive aspects of bicycle riding. Club participants know that bicycling is an excellent means of relaxation, improves physical fitness, and that a bicycle is an efficient and environmentally sound mode of transportation. Students learn that personal cycling is a lifelong activity that requires a working knowledge of the rules of the road and basic bicycle maintenance. Sponsors: Ms. Mason

Project Wise
Seventh and Eighth grade students share life experiences through writing. Participants are introduced to a senior adult with whom they make regular entries in a journal that is passed between them. Discover yourself by journaling and get to know and understand the differences and similarities you find with generations gone by. The committment is ongoing and students may write daily. Student Council
Be a part of the democratic process and lend your voice to your school community by serving as a homeroom representative to the Student Council. Members meet every Tuesday during homeroom to help plan school-wide social and educational events and to express their opinions on issues that concern the student body. Sponsors: Ms. Price

Tennis Club
Interested students who enjoy the game of tennis are invited to meet on Wednesdays in September at Englewood High School to develop tennis techniques and strategies. Warm-ups and drills are designed increase confidence and build skills. The club ends its activities with a fun skills competition and treats. Sponsors: __________
