The Englewood Schools lunch program has become an important
part of the education program. It is the objective of the lunchroom
to provide a nourishing lunch for children at a small cost. Again
this year, as in the past, the schools are providing federally
reimbursable lunches for children in all grades. Some students
may qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. Applications are
sent home to all students. New for 2009-10, all preK-2nd grade students who qualify for reduced-price meals will not be charged for lunch.
Lunches are served in all schools. In addition, dinner is served at Colorado's Finest Alternative High School for those students taking night classes.
More than 50 percent of the
children eat hot lunches at school. Parents are urged to visit
the lunchrooms and enjoy a meal with their children.
Breakfast Program
Federally reimbursable breakfasts are offered at all
schools. Students eligible for free or reduced-price lunches are
automatically eligible for free or reduced-price breakfasts. Contact
your principal for further information.
